Forthcoming from Crescent Street Press

From luminous desert horizons and exuberant abstractions to flowers, figures, parties, and the wonderfully wacky inhabitants of Swankyville, Color Holds the Room gathers the distinctive visual world of Palm Springs artist Alex Amato.

Working across acrylic, mixed media, pastel, and ink, Amato finds character in color, humor in observation, and stories in the people and places around him. This richly illustrated collection follows an artistic life shaped by reinvention, curiosity, friendship, and the extraordinary light of the California desert.
